When the job market started to slow two years ago, we felt it first in our Sales recruiting practice. Until that point, our team had been busy placing SDRs, AEs, and Sales leaders for tech companies big and small. June 2022 was when tech companies began to pull back on hiring. Within six months we felt it across all of Hirewell. The slowdown in sales hiring was the first indicator that the job market was turning.

 

When our sales practice saw a spike in volume Q4 2023, I was hopeful that things were starting to turn. Based on our Q1 results, the trend we saw was continuing. Companies are investing in growth. That means hiring sales (and marketing) people.
