The Hirewell Hot Corner, Ep 41 ABC: Always Be Closing

In this episode, Dan and Louie start with their usual sports talk, covering the MLB and Golf season, then diving into the NHL and NBA playoffs. They discuss the difficulty of closing out series, like the Timberwolves losing three straight to the Nuggets and MVP Jokic after a 2-0 lead. The NHL playoffs are equally intense, with the Rangers struggling to close out the Hurricanes despite a 3-0 lead. Other series are all going at least six games. They then relate this to recruiting, emphasizing the importance of showing a track record, being timely, and demonstrating excitement and qualifications. Dan and Louie have predictions on who will close out the NHL Playoff Quarterfinals first in the two-minute drill.
